PROJECT 
OBJECTIVES

  • Design a PoC landing page for MDB.io, an EdTech platform that will focus on providing online mentorship in the recruitment market.

  • Create a user experience that gives Million Dollar Billers and sales people looking for mentorship the confidence to engage in the platform.

  • Ensure there is scope to grow and cover other industry sectors such - Tech, Medical, Real Estate, Insurance, SaaS.

BRAND POSITIONING

We mapped out the position of the competitors to:

  • Gain a quick view of the market

  • Understand how Million Dollar Biller could differentiate itself from every other online learning platform

SURVEY FINDINGS

58% would pay for mentoring sessions with experts

89% would pay $100 - $249 for an hour session

68% would prefer their mentor to be from 
their industry

44% expect my mentor 
to have 10 - 15 years experience

MENTEE 
PERSONA MATRIX
We mapped out the position of the mentees to:

  • Gain a quick view of who was willing to pay for the mentor experience.

  • To understand which mentees were looking to further their careers or just develop their skills.

  • Our findings show that Jessisca is wanting to futher her career and is more than happy to pay.

  • Blake is happy to pay to develop her skills as she is just starting out.

  • Daniel wants to further his career but doesn’t see the value in paying for a mentor.

PERFECT MATCH

Based on our 3 mentee persona’s, 
we identified Blake Young
as our target user for phase one of the 
MDB platform.

HOW MIGHT WE

How might we provide energy conscious consumers
a balance of convenience, product knowledge and a seamless sign up process to give them the confidence
to engage and commit to a new energy provider.

IDEATION

After the research phase we jumped into ideation
- Brainwriting to come up with ideas based on the insights
- Crazy 8’s to give those ideas visual form and test out
our thoughts.

  • They would prefer pricing removed from the All mentors page and only show it on their bio, where it can be justified.

  • The ‘book now’ button was confusing - our tester said they would prefer to call it a ‘Request’.

  • Would like to see the mentor, price and booking date on the request confirmation screen as a reminder

  • Payment Details should be collected if the user requests a session.
